ECCK appointed Dirk Lukat, CEO of Schenker Korea, as the new Chairperson of the ECCK. Chairperson Lukat is a German citizen and has been the CEO of Schenker Korea Ltd in Seoul since January 2015.

ECCK hosted ‘EU-Korea Virtual Business Conference 2020’ in cooperation with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and BusinessEurope on July 2 at the KCCI Executive Conference Hall.

ECCK hosted a breakfast meeting with Park Young-sun, Minister of Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), at Grand Hyatt Seoul. Around 50 representatives from ECCK member companies and European embassies attended the breakfast meeting.

ECCK hosted a breakfast meeting with Woo Taehee, Vice Chairman of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), on July 7 at Lotte Hotel Seoul. European business leaders discussed business concerns and recommendations delivered to the Korean government with the KCCI.

After the release of the 2019’s White Paper last November, the ECCK received feedbacks on the 180 recommendations from the Korean government. ECCK is pleased to announce that over 30% of the proposals have received positive response (‘implemented’, ‘accepted’ or ‘partially accepted’) from the government.

On the morning of July 15, the ECCK hosted an information session with Daniel Tudor under the theme of ‘Emerging Capitalism in North Korea’ in the Ara Room at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.
