Seoul, October 29, 2013 Bayer CropScience, a global leader in agrochemical, appointed Dr. Rolf Deege as the new CEO of Bayer CropScience Korea Ltd. from November 1.
Dr. Rolf Deege initiated his career as a agronomic-herbicide development manager at Bayer AG, Germany headquarter in 1987 and spent 27 years in marketing and administering overseas branches.
Starting out as a Managing Director in Latin America region in 1996, Deege showed his excellence in the international business administration. He later worked as a Managing Director at Central America and Caribbean region from 1999, and moved to Russia/Kazakhstan/Belarus to administer the local corporation as a Managing Director. From 2008 up to now, he headed the Iberian peninsula region. Actively working as a leader of agriculture in various countries for almost 15 years, he led each Bayer’s local corporation to success, which comes from his customer-centered attitude and his excellence in sales marketing knowhow.
CEO Deege said, After launch of crop protection business in South Korea in 1955, Bayer CropScience has contributed to the Korea’s agricultural development for more than half a century. He also mentioned I will do my best in establishing Bayer CropScience Korea as recognized technological and service leader in the crop protection market.
Dr. Deege graduated at the University of Giessen, and achieved the majored in Agrarian Engineer title, and received his PhD in Agronomy at the same university.
Meanwhile, the former CEO of Bayer CropScience Korea, Harald Printz, took over the CEO position of Bayer CropScience Japan from August 1.
