[Bolloré Logistics Korea] Launching the First Electric Truck for Domestic Delivery Service
As a global leader in international transport & logistics, Bolloré Logistics Korea successfully launched its first electric truck for domestic delivery services in 2021.
The electric truck is “Zero Emissions” when in use, therefore preserving the air quality inside the city. It is charged through the local electricity grid, which is evolving rapidly thanks to the government’s proactive strategy to shift towards more renewable energies.
The South Korean Government is boosting the green transition of key sectors, including energy, housing, mobility, and industry by investing in establishing more renewable energy projects to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.
Aligned with Bolloré Logistics’ CSR Program “Powering Sustainable Logistics,” Bolloré Logistics Korea has continuously researched feasible eco-friendly transportation in the domestic market since 2019. In October 2020, Bolloré Logistics Korea prepared to launch a sustainable logistics service amid growth in the e-retail market. South Korea is the sixth largest market for eCommerce and the market has grown by an average of 22% each year.
Bolloré Logistics Korea plans to continue its efforts to protect the environment, to fulfill its corporate social responsibility commitments, and actively cooperate with global customers to pursue its action for a lower carbon and sustainable supply chain.
