Breakfast meeting with MSS Minister Park Young-sun
ECCK hosted a breakfast meeting with Park Young-sun, Minister of Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), at Grand Hyatt Seoul. Around 50 representatives from ECCK member companies and European embassies attended the breakfast meeting.
European business leaders including Dirk Lukat, Chairperson of ECCK and CEO of Schenker Korea, engaged in the dialogue to convey operational business concerns and recommendations to the MSS and shared opinions on various industrial issues for the advancement of the business environment in Korea.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Chairperson Lukat. “In order for the Korean economy to smoothly recover from this period of uncertainties at home and abroad and continue to grow, a fair and vibrant market ecosystem must be the basis, and the power to overcome the crisis comes from the value of fairness and win-win cooperation”, he remarked. “I am convinced that Minister Park will give us valuable insights about Korea’s effort to upgrade its policy on strengthening the competitiveness and innovation of SMEs and startups. “I am also certain that ECCK members can offer suggestions from our best practices and experiences in Europe, where industrial 4.0 and SMEs are the backbone of Europe’s economy.”
Following the welcoming remarks, the keynote speech was delivered by Minister Park. “We will actively support the creation of synergy of innovation for the great transformation into a digital economy through cooperation between Korean and European companies.”, said Minister Park.
