COVID-19 Update (August 31, 2022)
Pre-travel COVID-19 test for inbound travelers no longer required (effective September 3, 2022)
Effective September 3, 2022, the pre-travel COVID-19 test requirement for inbound travelers is to be lifted, according to the Korean government. The current measure which requires all travelers entering the country to submit negative PCR test results, will no longer be in effect as of this Saturday.
However, even with this update, individuals will still be required to take one PCR test within 24 hours of their arrival in the country. Once results are received, it is advised to enter results in the Q-code system (Q-code – Quarantine covid19 defence (kdca.go.kr)).
