COVID-19 Update (January 2, 2023)
<South Korea to Mandate PCR Testing for Travelers from China>
Starting today (January 2, 2023), it would be required for arrivals from China to go through a COVID-19 PCR Test within a day of their arrival.
Additionally, the following measures will take place:
Prior to entry
Issue of short-term visas for Chinese nationals will be restricted until the 31st of this month (diplomats, public officials, and individuals entering for an important business matter will be excluded from the measure).
Travelers from China should present a negative PCR (48 hours before arrival) or antigen test (24 hours before arrival) results.
Travelers from China are required to make use of the Q-CODE system.
After entry
Arrivals from China are required to take a COVID-19 PCR Test within a day of their arrival.
