COVID-19 Update (July 25, 2022)
Effective today, July 25, it is required for overseas travelers entering Korea to take PCR tests on the day of arrival (DAY 1). In addition, strict regulations and rules will be implemented to nursing homes, psychiatric institutions, etc.
PCR requirements were eased to be taken within three days of arrival (DAY 3) in June but have been tightened to prevent the further spread of the virus. South Korean citizens and foreign residents in Korea can take the test free of charge at local public health centers, but short-term visitors are recommended to take the test at a testing center in airport.
Additionally, in-person visits to nursing homes, psychiatric institutions, etc. will be banned.
