Dwight Seoul Introduces the New Head of School, Tom Ferguson
Dwight Seoul is excited to start off the new school year with Tom Ferguson as Head of School. With over twenty years of experience working in international education, Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to his leadership of schools. His last position was Principal of a leading IB school in SW China, and he has held senior positions in Hong Kong and Beijing prior to his appointment at Dwight Seoul. He is a graduate from the Moray House School of Education at Edinburgh University, and studied at King’s College London for an MA in International Education. He also holds a Masters in IT and a BA (Hons) in Marketing.
He believes in preparing students for the world of tomorrow, equipping them with the skills and understanding to be successful after they leave school, no matter what they choose to do or be in life. Academic excellence is an expectation, but in learning through the IB programmes, students become confident and resilient, caring and empathetic, ambitious and enthusiastic, all whilst striving to make their world a better and more just place to live.
Tom is looking forward to meeting other educators and business leaders in Seoul and being part of the community.
