ECCK Busan Information Session on Strategic Trends in Northeast Asia Successfully Hosted
On the evening of October 18, the ECCK hosted an information session under the theme ‘Strategic Trends in Northeast Asia’ at Park Hyatt Busan with Robert E. Kelly, Professor in the Department of Political Science at Pusan National University.
During the session, Dr. Kelly covered six macro-trends with strategic implications for business in Northeast Asia: 1) Economic: the Rise of China, 2) Economic: Indian Growth, 3) Economic: the Stagnation of Japan, 4) Demographic: the Region-Wide Collapse of Birth Rates, 5) Political: Biden’s Presidency, Brexit, 6) Military: North Korea’s Nuclear Missilization.
He further talked about the outlook of relationship between the United States and Korea under the Biden administration and the implication of doing businesss in the East Asia region.
