ECCK Chairperson Highlights Role in Sustainability at World Climate Industry Expo

On September 4, at the invitation of Mayor Park Heong-joon of Busan Metropolitan City, ECCK Chairperson Philippe Van Hoof participated as a panelist at the Global Maritime City for Climate Crisis Response Conference, held during the 2024 World Climate Industry Expo.

He introduced the ECCK’s Energy & Environment Committee and Marine & Shipping Committee, emphasizing their pivotal roles in promoting sustainability and innovation within the renewable energy and maritime sectors. These committees are aligned with global best practices to support Korea’s transition towards a greener and more resilient future. The Chairperson also underscored that the Marine & Shipping Committee is headquartered in Busan, highlighting the city’s importance as a key hub for maritime activities and renewable energy.
