ECCK Chairperson Shares Views on Korea’s Business Environment in Media Interviews
Philippe van Hoof, Chairperson of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), recently shared his perspectives on Korea’s business environment and the outlook for European companies in interviews with The Herald Economy and The Korea Herald.
In the interviews, Mr. van Hoof discussed key issues shaping the business climate in Korea, including regulatory developments such as the so-called “Yellow Envelope Act.” He noted that European companies are closely following these developments and emphasised the importance of regulatory predictability and legal certainty for businesses operating in Korea.
At the same time, he highlighted Korea’s strong economic fundamentals and continued attractiveness as an investment destination for European companies, citing its highly skilled workforce, advanced infrastructure and dynamic innovation ecosystem.
Looking ahead, Mr. van Hoof also outlined ECCK’s ongoing role in supporting dialogue between European industry and Korean stakeholders. Through initiatives such as the ECCK White Paper, the Chamber will continue to contribute to discussions aimed at improving the business environment in Korea.
