ECCK Energy & Environment Committee Chair Represents at the 2025 Seoul Conference on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) Energy & Environment Committee participated in the 2025 Seoul Conference on Global Cooperation for Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, organized by the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Environment.
The conference opened with remarks by Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, followed by welcoming messages from ambassadors and heads of international organizations. The event brought together around 150 distinguished participants, including senior diplomats and representatives from international organizations such as the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
Mr. Hyun S. Lee, Chair of the ECCK Energy & Environment Committee, delivered a presentation and joined the panel discussion, emphasizing the benefits of offshore wind in carbon reduction, green job creation, and socio-economic development, and reiterated the vital role of European offshore wind developers and supply chains as trusted partners and catalysts. Through its active participation, the ECCK reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Korea’s clean energy transition and promoting European best practices in advancing sustainable growth.
