On November 2, the ECCK and European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) co-hosted its fourth ‘Korea-Europe Future Automotive Conference’ in online. Under the theme of ‘Carbon Neutrality and Changes in the Future Mobility’, government officials and industry experts in the field of automotive policies and technology discussed about the current status and prospect of the eco-friendly mobility.
The conference opened with opening speech by Dirk Lukat, Chairperson of the ECCK and Maria Castillo Fernandez, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea.
On the topic of ‘The Road to Carbon-neutral Mobility: EU Industry Committed, but Reality Check Needed’, the keynote speech was delivered by Eric Mark Huitema, Director General of ACEA. Also, featured speakers from the Ministry of Environment, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, Hyundai Motor Company, and Volvo Trucks provided insights and fresh perspective on the trends in the sector.
‘Korea-Europe Future Automotive Conference’ symbolizes the efforts of ECCK to shed light on the trends of the industry and promote cooperation between Korean and European businesses. ECCK hopes to strengthen the level of cooperation and expand business and investment opportunities between Europe and Korea.
