ECCK Hosts Breakfast Seminar with ITCCK and Yulchon on Key Legal Updates
The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), in cooperation with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ITCCK), hosted a breakfast seminar on 1 April 2026 at Yulchon LLC, welcoming around 40 participants.
The session opened with remarks by Andrea Verazzi, President of ITCCK , followed by Philippe van Hoof, Chairperson of ECCK who highlighted the growing and mutually beneficial trade between Europe, Italy, and Korea, and introduced ECCK’s ongoing efforts in advocating for a more predictable regulatory environment. The session was moderated by Christopher Mandel.
The competition session, led by Keon Woong Kim, addressed case examples under the Fair Agency Transaction Act and outlined response approaches depending on stages of market entry. In the data protection session, Sun Hee Kim discussed recent personal data breach cases alongside the implications of strengthened enforcement under the Personal Information Protection Act. The tax session, presented by Tae Hyoung Kim and Young Whan Choi, focused on response strategies in irregular tax audits.
