ECCK Hosts Successful Embassy Roundtable with Leading Korean Enterprises and Key Diplomatic Figures
On October 29, ECCK held a pivotal meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Belgium, bringing together approximately 17 distinguished participants, including top representatives from the Embassy, Korean enterprises, and ECCK leadership.
The roundtable welcomed a diverse assembly, featuring prominent figures from the Embassy—including Ambassador H.E. Ryu Jeonghyun, the Economic Minister, and other key attachés—alongside high-level executives from major Korean firms such as Samsung Electronics, LG Chem, Posco, and Hyundai, as well as representatives from KOTRA and KITA. Representing ECCK were Chairperson Philippe van Hoof, President Stefan Ernst, Vice President Bo Sun Kim, and Trustee Johan Vandromme. The event also benefitted from the insights of Mr. Dominique Vanderhaeghen, Senior Deputy Director of FDI APAC at Flanders Investment & Trade’s headquarters in Brussels.
The meeting began with an opening reception, followed by a group photo and welcome remarks from Ambassador H.E. Ryu Jeonghyun and ECCK Chairperson Philippe van Hoof, setting a cordial yet focused tone for the discussions. With topics introduced by the Embassy, meaningful conversations ensued, providing a platform for candid and transparent exchanges on areas of shared interest and significance to both Korean businesses and European stakeholders.
