ECCK HR & Compliance Forum: Impact of Ordinary Wage Rulings on Retirement and Long-service Employee Benefits
On November 18, 2025, the ECCK hosted its final HR & Compliance Forum of the year under the theme “Impact of Ordinary Wage Rulings on Retirement and Long-service Employee Benefits.” The session offered a timely opportunity for HR and compliance professionals to better understand how recent court rulings and interpretations on ordinary wages are influencing retirement benefits and long-service employee compensation practices.
The forum began with an overview of the evolving legal landscape and why keeping abreast of these developments is essential for ensuring compliance and maintaining fair and transparent compensation structures. The presenter provided a summary of key case trends and highlighted major considerations for organizations. This was followed by a panel discussion in which experienced practitioners shared their insights on real-world challenges and practical approaches adopted within their organizations. After the presentations and panel discussion, an interactive Q&A session was held, allowing for a meaningful exchange of perspectives on various practical issues.
With active participation from HR and compliance professionals across different industries, the forum offered actionable takeaways to help organizations navigate the ongoing changes in labor regulations and strengthen their compensation management practices. As this was the last HR & Compliance Forum of the year, we extend our sincere appreciation to all speakers and participants for their continued engagement throughout 2025.
We look forward to welcoming you again next year with even more insightful and timely topics. For any questions or suggestions regarding the session, please feel free to contact Bokyung Cho, HR Manager at ECCK (bokyung.cho@ecck.or.kr).
