ECCK Information Session on Entrepreneurship in Korea: From Chaebols to Start-ups Successfully Hosted
On the morning of April 18, the ECCK successfully hosted an info session about “Entrepreneurship in Korea”.
Dr. Martin Hemmert, speaker of the session and a Professor of International Business at Korea University, presented focal findings on history and special characteristics of entrepreneurship in Korea, why and how entrepreneurial enterprises have been so successful and efficient, which challenges Korean start-up entrepreneurs are currently facing, and how these challenges may be addressed.
He further emphasized that in order for Korea to become a global manufacturing and technology powerhouse, the role of business entrepreneurship is crucial. Additionally, all participants actively shared their insights and experiences coming from wide range of backgrounds from global companies to start-ups.
We hope that this session was an informative one for participants in learning about various aspects of running a business in Korea.
