A leading driver and strong advocate for European Businesses in Korea
ECCK Kicks Off 2026 with New Year Party in Seoul
The ECCK New Year Party was held on 22 January 2026 at the Urban Sky Rooftop of the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel. This year’s New Year Party was co-hosted by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Seoul (SCCK), the Swiss Korean Business Council (SKBC), and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ESCCK), and officially opened with a welcoming toast sponsored by Turkish Airlines.
In his opening remarks, ECCK Chairperson Philippe van Hoof reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to fostering a more dynamic business environment in 2026 and to actively pursuing diverse opportunities for collaboration among its members and partners.
Approximately 125 guests gathered to enjoy a warm and convivial atmosphere at the first networking event of the year, savouring a wide selection of buffet dishes alongside beer and non-alcoholic beer generously sponsored by Heineken.
Special giveaways were also held during the evening. Calendars sponsored by Abarrotes B were presented to the first five guests to arrive, wine was gifted to ten attendees born in the Year of the Horse, and black shopper bags sponsored by West Island London were awarded to two Best Dressed guests. In addition, all participants received desk accessories from Turkish Airlines and lifestyle items from IKEA.
The evening continued with a lively lucky draw featuring a wide range of prizes and vouchers sponsored by Zaspero Wine, Michelin, Conrad Seoul, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, Grand Hyatt Seoul, The Ambassador Seoul, and Turkish Airlines, including airline tickets to Europe. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated in full to the House of Bethania, a social welfare shelter supporting migrant workers.
ECCK extends its sincere appreciation to all member companies for their generous support and to all guests who joined the celebration despite the severe winter weather. Building on the positive energy of this first event of the year, ECCK looks forward to carrying this momentum throughout 2026 and sincerely appreciates the continued interest and support of its members and partners.
