A leading driver and strong advocate for European Businesses in Korea
ECCK-KOTRA Grow Together Programme Launching Ceremony
On September 13, The European Chamber of Commerce (ECCK) and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) launched their first CSR Project, Grow Together Programme at the Zurich Hall, KOTRA Headquarters.
The Grow Together Programme is a community service programme jointly organised by foreign investment organisations, foreign investment companies and college students with the initial goal of promoting mutual prosperity and social responsibility in Korea.
The programme aims to encourage college students to contribute volunteer service to various parts of the Korean society on their own initiative. The participating 50 college students were selected through a tough competition rate of 8:1 based on the quality, perceived commitment and feasibility of their community service proposals.
The submission of proposals in the application process was regarded as a unique approach as well as an important opportunity for students to thoroughly ponder upon the essential value of social responsibility.
Through the programme, ECCK and KOTRA hope to further educate the meaning of sharing and volunteer work and to foster other CSR activities in the future.
