ECCK Signs MoU with KOIMA
On July 26, the ECCK signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Importers Association (KOIMA). Through this agreement, the ECCK and KOIMA has plans to encourage the exchange of trade missions and provide support for business programs of each party’s visiting delegations. Furthermore, collaborative efforts will be placed into organizing conferences, seminars, or forums on trade and investment when opportunity arises.
The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) was established in 1970 under the authorization of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (former Ministry of Knowledge Economy). KOIMA has played a crucial role in developing the country’s economy by promoting trade. As the one and only import-oriented organization in Korea, KOIMA has promoted trade by driving activities such as introducing overseas qualified suppliers, arranging business matchmaking meetings, dispatching purchasing missions abroad, holding the IGF (Import Goods Fair), conducting a training program for trainees from developing countries, and announcing price information of main raw materials.
