ECCK Organizes Europe-Korea Innovation Forum 2018
On November 13, Europe-Korea Innovation Forum 2018 was jointly organized by European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) and Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), and supported by Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea (EUD) and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE).
Under the theme of “Industry 4.0 and Its Impact on Business”, the forum was held at the Grand Hall, KCCI. The forum focused on the latest trends & developments in Industry 4.0 and its overall impact on business operations and on society. On top of that the specialists from both Korea and Europe were able to participate and share valuable insights and opinions on pertinent developments in the field of research and innovation.
The forum was commenced with an opening remarks by Dimitris Psillakis (Chairman of ECCK) and welcoming remarks by Homin Kang (Senior Vice President of KCCI). Also, H.E. Michael Reiterer (Ambassador of the EUD) and Sun Min Kim (Deputy Minister for MOTIE) delivered their congratulatory remarks.
The event was composed of two sessions, focusing on two distinct topics: ‘Mobility’ and ‘Production’. Both sessions were followed by panel discussions to share deeper insights on successful solutions to the challenges of creating a better and sustainable future with emerging technologies and practices.
The first session of the forum featured presentations on “Shaping the Future of Mobility” and “Green Mobility” by industry experts from Mercedes-Benz Korea Ltd. and Solvay Korea, respectively.
After the coffee break, the second part of the forum resumed dedicated to present transformation of manufacturing sector and industry 4.0, with renowned speakers from Siemens Korea, SAP Korea, and Dassault Systèmes Korea. Also, the networking reception followed after all the sessions.
All in all, the forum has served as a unique opportunity for business representatives, researchers and academics to gather together and exchange their knowledge and experience in various areas of expertise.
