A leading driver and strong advocate for European Businesses in Korea
ECCK visit to Kering Korea
On October 17, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) visited Kering Korea, a multinational luxury group encompassing Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Boucheron, to discuss expanding cooperation beyond intellectual property rights (IPR). Kering Korea has actively participated in the ECCK IPR Committee since 2017 and attended the ECCK IPR Conference in September 2025.
In an introductory meeting with Thierry Marty, President of Kering North & South-East Asia Pacific, ECCK outlined opportunities to deepen engagement across multiple committees and events. Reflecting Mr. Marty’s regional remit, the conversation also briefly touched on the European chambers in Singapore and Japan, exploring potential points of alignment and information-sharing for future activities and Sunyoung Kang, Manager of ECCK’s IPR Committee, shared the experience from her recent visit to the Kering Paris Office. The exchange covered the Kering Group’s brand portfolio in Korea and ongoing IPR priorities, as well as areas to expand cooperation.
Both sides discussed extending participation to ECCK’s HR, Finance and the other seminars/forums, signaling intent to diversify engagement beyond IPR programming. ECCK and Kering Korea also expressed interest in mapping out concrete next steps for future activities across relevant committees.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Thierry Marty and Seryeon Park for their warm hospitality and for taking the time to engage in this fruitful discussion.
