A leading driver and strong advocate for European Businesses in Korea
[Embassy of Belgium in Seoul] Online Panel Discussion on Beating the market by beating the Bias: Why disability inclusion at work matters
The 2nd of June is known as Duo Day: a day in which differently abled people join companies for 1 day to raise awareness for their inclusion in the workplace.
Living with a disability grants you different and unique experiences. Those lead to unique perspectives, that are often not recognized and not exploited in the job market. Companies are always on the lookout for ways to get ahead of the competition, and these sets of experiences from differently abled persons could prove to be incredible assets. Not to mention, companies with strong disability inclusion programs have access to a greater talent pool and better employee retention.
To provide deeper insights into the subject, the Embassy of Belgium in Seoul will organize an online panel discussion: “Beating the market by beating the Bias: Why disability inclusion at work matters”
With Mr. Sanjay Kumar, journalist at the Korea Herald as a moderator of the prestigious international panel composed of:
Kim Hwan Gung, Executive Director of the Korean Employment Agency for the Disabled (KEAD)
Eline Jammaers, Professor in Diversity & (In)equality Research at the University of Hasselt
Kim Kyung Mee, Professor at the Department of Social Welfare at Soongsil University
Luc Henau, President of the European Union of Supported Employment (EUSE) and vice-president of the World Association of Supported Employment (WASE)
The event will last for maximum 90 minutes, and will take place in English (main discussion session and Q&A session, in which everyone can ask question to the panelists.)
