[IKEA] IKEA Korea Opens First Store in Seoul
ECCK valued member IKEA Korea has officially opened its first store in Seoul on April 17. Located on the first and second floors of Gangdong I-Park The River — a commercial, business, and cultural complex within the Godeok Biz Valley of Gangdong-gu — IKEA Gangdong offers convenient access and a wide range of home furnishing solutions designed to create a better everyday life at home.
Magnus Norberg, Store Manager of IKEA Gangdong, remarked, “IKEA Gangdong is more than just a retail space—it’s where our diverse home furnishing solutions come to life and become part of everyday living. We hope this store offers an enjoyable shopping experience and inspires many to create homes that reflect their unique personalities.”
From April 17 to 27, the first 1,000 customers who purchase home furnishing products worth KRW 100,000 or more on the same day will receive a limited-edition Dala Horse keyring featuring a traditional herringbone pattern. Additionally, exclusive programs are available for members of IKEA Family, IKEA’s free membership program. These include the Swedish Docent Tour, which introduces IKEA’s principles of Democratic Design; a Pottery Pattern Drawing Class with a Nordic-inspired ceramic artist; and an Indoor Picnic experience featuring the Swedish tradition of Fika, where participants can enjoy coffee and treats in a relaxing atmosphere. Also, IKEA Korea is offering free delivery throughout April for purchases over KRW 300,000 across all online and offline channels.
