Intellectual Property Rights Committe Joins Busan Global Gathering
On May 18, ECCK Intellectual Property Rights Committee had successfully finished its Anti-Counterfeiting Campaign at the 19th Global Gathering in Busan.
Global Gathering is an event hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Justice with Busan Global City Foundation, Busan Immigration Office, Busan Cinema Center as subjectivity, inviting all Busan citizens and foreigners residing in Busan. By participating in the event, ECCK operated a display booth of both genuine and counterfeits of our member companies of luxury brands, in efforts to enhance awareness on the IPR protection by delivering information on possible harms caused by counterfeits and healthy consumption patterns. Additionally, ECCK also conducted a public survey on the topic of counterfeiting to measure how consumers are viewing such issue, and how their perception changes over time gradually. As a result, we received over 500 feedback from both local and international visitors, allowing a variation in point of views.
Meanwhile ECCK Busan Chapter Representative Andrew Millard participated opening ceremony reception of the event, and severl ECCK members also had booths including International School of Busan (ISB), Busan Foreign School (BFS), etc.
ECCK will continuously strive towards not only to eradicate illegal exchanges of infringements on behalf of our IPR committee members, but to contribute to the overall safety of consumers from building a healthy environment.
