Korea to Extend K-ETA Validity from Two to Three Years
The South Korean government announced its plans to simplify foreign tourists’ entry procedures to Korea. The validity period of the Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) will be extended from two years to three years, and elderly and young people will be allowed to enter without prior electronic travel authorization.
As of July 3, individuals under the age of 17 and over the age of 65 will be exempted from the application of K-ETA. However if they wish to undergo simplified immigration procedures, they still have the option to apply for the electronic travel authorization.
