[LANXESS] Appoints Junseong Park as New CEO of LANXESS Korea
Global specialty chemicals company LANXESS has appointed Junseong Park, the current Head of the Lubricant Additives business unit for North Asia, as the new CEO of LANXESS Korea, effective February 1, 2025. In his new role, Park will continue to oversee the Lubricant Additives business unit while also assuming the responsibilities of CEO.
Park began his career in 2001 as a product consultant at Roche Korea and has since held various positions at OTSC, Rhodia (later acquired by Solvay), and Chemtura, gaining extensive experience in the chemical industry. Following LANXESS’ acquisition of Chemtura, a leading U.S.-based flame retardant and lubricant additives company, in 2017, he joined LANXESS and has since led the lubricant additives business across Korea and the broader North Asia region.
Commenting on his new role, Park stated, “The year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of LANXESS globally and the beginning of a new decade. Building on our achievements over the past 20 years, LANXESS will continue to provide solutions for key challenges in mobility, safety, health, nutrition, and climate protection, reinforcing our role as a trusted global partner for Korean customers.”
