The ECCK would like to inform our members that effective next Monday, South Korea will be implementing a Level 4 Social Distancing Guidelines in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, which includes Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and Incheon for two weeks. The decision was reached as the majority of recent cases were reported in the capital area, especially outbreaks at bars, shopping malls and restaurants. Effective July 12, under the Level 4 Social Distancing Guidelines, following measures will go into effect. In private gatherings held before 6.p.m, up to 4 people are allowed to participate. However, after 6, the number will be limited to 2. Only single-person protests are allowed. Family events such as weddings and funerals can only be attended by relatives. Events of any kind will be restricted. No dine-in at restaurants and cafes after 10.p.m. Karaoke and gyms will close after 10.p.m. Nightly facilities including nightclubs, bars and other entertainment facilities will be shut down. Sports events will be played without spectators. Religious services will go virtual. Above measures will be implemented for a two-week period, from July 12 to July 25 in the Seoul Metropolitan Area.
