Opening Ceremony for New EU Centre at Korea University
On May 9, Korea University (KU), along with the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) will host an opening ceremony to celebrate the establishment of the KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre. Honoured guests are scheduled to be present including Lee Il-Houng, director of KIEP, Lee Woong-mo, CEO of SBS, and Thomasz Kozlowski, the EU ambassador to Korea.
Funded by the European Commission until June 30, 2017, the Centre will promote a variety of the EU-related activities including educational exchange, conferences and seminars.
Combined with the ÛÏDay of EuropeÛ that celebrates the inauguration of the European Union, the opening ceremony will be attended by European ambassadors and representatives of European institutions ÛÒ including Ambassadors Jaroslav OlÁa, jr, (Czech Republic), Aingeal O’Donoghue, (Ireland), Peter Lyshoult Hansen (Denmark), Csaba GÌÁbor (Hungary), Calin Fabian (Romania) as well as Christoph Heider, secretary-general of the ECCK.
