A leading driver and strong advocate for European Businesses in Korea
[Reddal] Experiences from the United Nations Global Compact for Sustainability Development
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact (UNGC) is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries and more than 70 Local Networks. By becoming a signatory of the Compact, companies commit to aligning their operations and strategies with The Ten Principles, established by United Nations, in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
Reddal, an active member of the ECCK, recently joined United Nations Global Compact in an effort to further drive its sustainable and socially responsible business practices:
“The process of joining UNGC is straightforward for those considering participation. Once accepted, members gain access to a wealth of educational materials, valuable frameworks and networking events offered by the Global Compact. Additionally, they are expected to provide annual reports on topics related to the Ten Principles outlined by the initiative. For Reddal, becoming a signatory of the Global Compact is the next crucial step in our long-term commitment to sustainability, raising the bar on corporate social responsibility in our operations. Subsequently, we hope to further support our clients’ relevant projects as well.” – Per Stenius, Reddal Senior Client Director shared.
With this announcement, we wish to encourage other members of the ECCK to participate in this global initiative towards sustainable development.
