On June 24, the ECCK hosted a seminar on polymer registration and exemption with the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic). The seminar was divided into three parts: In part one, Cynthia Mitchell from ExxonMobil informed the participants ‘how to identify polymers and harmonized polymer registration consistent with international trends. In part two, Willi Muenninghoff from ReachCentrum an ERM Group Company covered ‘industry’s challenges on polymer identity and data availability’. In part three, Min A Seo from Ministry of Environment discussed ‘main contents of the draft guideline on polymer identification and dossiers for registration and exemption. About 70 participants attended the seminar, and we would like to thank all the speakers for their insightful presentations. Also, we would like to express gratitude towards the partners for making this seminar successful: BASF, ERM, Evonic, Merck, P&G and Solvay.
