Seoul Dragon City takes a new leap forward in 2023
THE HOTEL-PLEX ENTERS THE NEW YEAR WITH THE OPENING OF A NEW CASINO, RESTAURANT AND BANQUET HALL, READY TO ACCOMMODATE GUESTS IN 2023
Seoul Dragon City, Korea’s first and only Hotel-Plex consisting of four hotels (Grand Mercure, Novotel Suites, Novotel and ibis Styles), is pleased to announce the opening of a new casino, restaurant and banquet hall.
Equipped with 1,700 rooms, 12 restaurants and bars, convention facilities, and boasting a convenient location in Yongsan, Seoul Dragon City has established itself as a landmark hotel in South Korea’s Capital City.
Seoul Dragon City was selected as the site for the new ‘Seven Luck Casino’ operated by Grand Korea Leisure (GKL). The new casino was opened on New Year’s Day and is situated on the 5th floor of the hotel-plex.
The new location by GKL Seoul Dragon City is expected to attract VIP guests and strengthen the positioning of Seoul Dragon City as an urban tourism partner. Seoul Dragon City plans to solidify its position as Asia’s leading hotel-plex and has completed new banquet halls, a food and beverage outlet, and accommodation adjustments in preparation for higher demand in 2023.
Last year, a new Chinese restaurant, FEI, was opened to strengthen the competitiveness of Seoul Dragon City’s dining offerings, and a uniquely shaped banquet hall ‘Rendezvous’ was opened with the goal of expanding services for the MICE market. Furthermore, alongside the recovery of the market, Seoul Dragon City aims to further strengthen its position as a convention hub in Asia beyond Korea, attracting foreign tourists and contributing to the MICE industry in Seoul.
The hotel-plex is located close to major business districts such as Yeouido and Gangnam, as well as commercial districts including Itaewon and Myeongdong. In addition, the hotel-plex is adjacent to shopping centres, duty free shop, movie theatres, tourist attractions and embassies.
