On October 11, The Korea Herald published an interview article with Kim Sung-jin, the foreign investment ombudsman of Korea. As a new ombudsman, who was appointed by President Moon Jae-in in August, Mr. Kim told The Korea Herald that foreign investment is important to the nation’s economy and the regulations need to be improved to create a more advanced investment environment. Also, the new ombudsman has paid a courtesy visit to ECCK Chairman Dimitris Psillakis on October 4 to discuss modernization of EU-Korea FTA and more active communication between European community and Korean authority.
