Yulchon launches Global White-Collar Defense Team: A New Standard in International Legal Advisory
Yulchon, a leading full-service law firm headquartered in Seoul, proudly announces the launch of its Global White-Collar Defense Team (the “Team”). With an unwavering commitment to excellence, this Team is poised to provide unparalleled support for clients facing complex white-collar crime cases and advisory needs across the globe. Leveraging seamless collaboration between domestic and international experts specializing in criminal affairs, the Team delivers highly professional and systematic services tailored to the unique requirements of each case.
“Our Global White-Collar Defense Team brings together seasoned professionals with diverse knowledge, extensive experience, and fluency in foreign languages,” said Wook Jin RHA, head of the Team. “With backgrounds ranging from former U.S. federal prosecutors to attorneys with extensive experience in overseeing legal affairs at major foreign companies, our team is uniquely equipped to handle the most challenging cases.”
Wook Jin started his legal career as a prosecutor. He received his legal education in Korea and the U.S., and has nearly 20 years of experience in international criminal investigations. He was most recently director and senior prosecutor of the International Crime Investigation Department at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Before that, he served as director and senior prosecutor at the International Criminal Affairs Division at the Ministry of Justice.
The Team’s key strengths lie in its comprehensive advisory services related to effective internal controls and compliance. By employing strategic approaches, the Team assists clients in proactively managing potential legal risks and minimizing exposure to criminal liabilities by promptly responding to incidents at their earliest stages.
The Team offers a range of key services, including advice on investigations by both Korean and foreign investigative agencies, guidance on criminal charges/accusations, and assistance with internal investigations concerning finance, HR, risk management, compliance, and more.
The rise of Korean companies engaging with foreign entities has led to an increased prevalence of complex legal issues and disputes, including global white-collar crime cases. Yulchon anticipates this trend to continue and is dedicated to providing specialized expertise to navigate these challenges effectively.
With over 700 professionals and offices spanning five jurisdictions, Yulchon is well-positioned to provide the highest quality legal services to clients worldwide. For more information about Yulchon’s Global White-Collar Defense Team and its comprehensive range of services, please visit HERE.
