ECCK at the Korea Times Forum: Policy Suggestions to Yoon Government
On June 21, ECCK Chairperson Dirk Lukat participated in the 2022 Korea Times Forum: Policy Suggestions to Yoon Government, as a panelist.
Taking the opportunity, Chairperson Lukat talked about the ECCK’s mission on working to remove regulations that hamper the growth of European and Korean business alike in Korea. Also during the panel session, he mentioned international standards, labor reform and transparency in regulations and policies.

“Digital transformation is driving the economy. Business needs to adjust to those changes to survive in a very competitive situation” he stated. “Not to mention that Korea needs to adapt international standards as administrative process will be simplified allowing new products to reach markets timely, reducing the cost and making it more attractive for companies to invest in Korea.”

The forum was also attended by experts from various fields including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Executive Vice Chairman Woo Tae-hee, American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) Chairman James Kim, and Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) President Han Sang-man.
